Can anyone point me in the direction of online elevation profiles of the AT?

Ideally with identifiable markings (shelters or something).

There are these here at WB in the articles section http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/content.php/19-data-and-schedules They are small, just use the "Ctrl" +/- keys to read them.

Mr. Parkay used to have profiles online, but I believe they have disappeared into the web's "Memory Hole".

You could also just spring for AWOL's guide http://theatguide.com/index.html

Chris "Mr. Parkay" Johnson's profile maps are 6 years old, but still available. (5.9mb)

Not profiles (i.e., graphs) but if all you care about is the elevation change between various points such as shelters, then this page will give you totals for any given section:

For $9 you can download the AT Guide book, which is better than anything else you'll find for free.
