Section hiking in from (Trout creek)Four Pines hostel to James River foot bridge. Planning on leaving one vehicle at James River crossing for 7 days. Any information about this parking area or other possibilities in Big Island, VA?

IIRC that's right near Glasgow and there is a dirt parking lot that probably holds 15-20 cars there. I assume that it's ok for overnight since we caught a ride into Glasgow from some folks that were just out for a couple of nights.

I just parked there overnight a few weeks ago. There are lots of cars and lots of traffic. I wouldn't hesitate to leave a car there for multiple nights.

Parked there 10 days ago for 2 nights. No problems. Plenty of space typically. On nice days, you'll get more traffic there from folks paddling up and down the river.

I have never heard of any problems and there is space for several vehicles.

I parked there last May for Twp nights with no problem. Lots of traffic on the road, lots of people parking for short and longer periods. Seemed very safe.
