Tuscarora Trail parking question

Looking for anyone who has experience with parking along Route 50 in VA. Trail guide says there is parking on the shoulder near the bridge over Back Creek. Looking to leave a car there for a few days.

I looked into hiking that section of the TT when I visited Winchester. But there is only a small pull off on a very busy highway.

Going north from US50 is supposed to be a lot of road walk.
