Where's the bubble now?

I've scheduled my first AT hike for mid-July and would like to avoid the crowds, if possible.

Which sections should I expect to be the most populated in mi-July?

Mid July is high time for the mid-Atlantic. Everybody will be gone from Virginia on south by then.

Mid July I run into a lot of thru hikers in CT/MA.

Great! I was planning to start in Harper's Ferry, since I can take the train right to the Trail. Sounds like the bubble will have passed there by mid-July.
