I am looking for a GPS trail app for the AT. Ideas?

Guthook's is the only one I own, so can't comment on others. So far, I think it's great.

Guthook's works great for me (I'm a section hiker only). Well worth the $6.99.

Well worth the $6.99.

Just remember, that's per section, not the whole trail.

another +1 for Guthooks. I got the whole thing at once, have used it in VA and GA so far. Definitely helps cover the gap of inexperience with backpacking - shows where water points are, shelters, elevations, etc. For me, it was money well spent.

another item to carry on your phone is the AWOL guide in PDF - I think it was around $8. exactly like the book, without the weight. Depending on your screen size, you may have to zoom in - but on an iPhone6 (so I imagine Galaxy S6 or some similar size) I have no issues.

about the only other app I use (besides texting the wife) while on the trail is the weather app - but that's more just for awareness than anything else.
