I am taking off on an 8 day, 7 night, 107 mile trip on the Long Trail and this is the gear I will be carrying in my pack and on my back. Covered is what clothes I wear while backpacking, including shoes as well as my entire pack contents.

I am starting in Williamstown, MA and ending at US4 near Rutland, VT. The base weight for this trip is at 10.5lbs and I have another 9.2lbs of consumables which puts me just under 20lbs. I have a food cache to pick up at the mid-point to resupply. I am prepared for lows to be about 32F, highs in the upper 80'sF as well as thundershowers on a number of days.

If you are interested in following along via my SPOT Gen3 personal tracker, between May 22 and 29, 2015, click the link to my Facebook page and you will se the SPOT Shared page link available.

Thanks for watching!

I am going to do that section in 9 days starting in July as part of an end to end hike. When you get back, maybe you can share where you are hiding your cache. I was going to lug 9 days of food through that section and have my first resupply at the Inn.

Hey Rob,

Saw the vid yesterday. Very cool. Like those poles, can't wait for your review of them. Hope you have a great time and stay safe and warm...
