It keeps closing randomly, but if you ask someone for a ride at the Rockfish Gap Info Center to Charlottesville, there are a couple of places that are useful.

There are lots of other places in Waynesboro to bed for the night such as the hiker hostel run by the church, overflow tent area behind the YMCA, just for starters. Waynesboro as with other towns along the trail depend on hikers of all sort for business. I wouldn't want to short change Waynesboro for what it has to offer hikers.
