Greeeneville TN AM radio reports this morning of an incident at Hemlock Hollow last Saturday.Apparently Hatie's son who had been helping out there struck her with the butt of a shotgun and then threatened 3 hikers there who managed to leave quickly w/o any further problems. He is in the county jail charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Hatie has had her share of problems with the recent death of her husband and the fire which burned down her private residence. I'd recommend anyone planning on stopping by to call first to see if things are back to normal and she has recovered from this awful incident.If she is still open I'm sure she would welcome hikers.Also any prayers and other communications from the hiker community would be appreciated.
