I've been sitting here going over the amazing lists of favorite books that folks have listed in the favorite book thread. WOW! Some great stuff! I've added lots of books to my "must read" list.
I was thinking (I know, hard to believe!) that a thread of favorite authors would be beneficial and way, way cool!:rolleyes:

Thor Heyerdhal. The books were Kon-Tiki and Ra. Both very excellent. he also wrote one about the history and so on about Easter Island.

Basically the entire beat generation. Did you know when Kerouac wrote "on the rode" he wrote it on one continuous sheet of paper? When he turned it in to be published it was over 120 feet long. Just one of those zany tidbits and it is all about the stream of consciousness baby!
