I am a 22 year old female college student. I'm a very experienced camper and hiker but this would be my first big-backpacking trip. I've been training for this for a few months now. I feel very strong and prepared! My summer school ends July 7 and I have until August 15 to hike. I plan to start at Springer Mountain and head north! My mom has agreed to pick me up as far north as Harper's Ferry. I'm seeking a partner for fun and safety!

If you hear of any groups or individuals heading NoBo from the Roanoke, VA (VA620)-mile 694.1 send them my way. I'm starting Aug 1 and planning on hiking for 10-12 days.

I'm sure you have made some friends along the way so far, but possible that if you are far enough north I could join you next week- july 20th-july 26 (i'm also a female solo-hiker). Where are you at this point?
