Novice backpacker leaving Harpers Ferry about summer '06 heading to Springer. Would like to find someone to hike with if only for a few days. Not looking to "burn up" the trail but keep a nice steady pace. I'm a laidback and funny guy and hope to find the same qualitites in another hiker. Thanks.

Note: I will NOT be heading back to MD upon arriving at Springer. I will be continuing south to FL (on foot) for the winter. Headed west come spring '07.

Hi, I did from Wind Gap Pa to Harpers in the summer of 05 would like to continue south in 06. Let me know when you plan to leave and the miles per day you would like to do

When do you plan on leaving? You're going to walk from Springer to what part of florida? Might be interested depending on leaving time
