My son and I have been section hiking for 5 years now. last year we did a section from Hot Springs NC to Hampton TN. We immediately started looking forward to this year's hike .We were planning on hiking from Hampton TN to Walkers Gap VA. Unfortunately I was in a car wreck in October and just recently had Disk replacement surgery on my neck. Hopefully recovery will be quick and may still get this in maybe late September or early October. Has anyone hiked this section in the fall? If so how was it? Actually a little excited about maybe getting to hike during the foliage.
