I am planning a section hike from Waynesboro trailhead to Montebello, Va trailhead. We are trying to figure out parking for our vehicle and were curious if there is a parking lot at the waynesboro trailhead. Is there public parking at the trailhead? Thanks for the help.

There is a crappy motel just south of I-64 with a visitors center. You can park there.

the trail passes within eyesight of the parking at rockfish gap, and is a bit over a mile walk downhill from the parking area on fish hatchery lane.
real sweet little section you'll be doing. you'll get to see the old chimney just north of paul c. wolfe, humpback rocks, three ridges, the priest, and spy rock - in addition to the rest of the beautiful scenery.
