Wow, that was probably a heck of deal at campsaver, but it's worth noting that the link features the close-out model called "Ultra Mountain" and my pair is the 2015 Carbon Z. You'd be hard pressed to find a better price (you can try) and it's worth noting that Black Diamond has good post sales customer support.

Composite, flip lock, cork handle with anti-shock (turn on/off) and less than a pound for the pair. My choice, quality trekking equipment doesn't have to be expensive.

Indeed, and I hear good reports of good poles at Costco for slightly less. All that said, I find I usually get what I pay for... YMMV.
