I just wanted to see if anyone that is doing the AT in 2016 happened to be from Indiana or Kentucky. I currently live in the Indianapolis area but originally from Southern Indiana/Louisville area.

I don't make it up to Chicago much, but in August I am doing the Spartan Super run up there with a bunch of friends. I plan on going NOBO mid March.

Graybadger we should meet up for coffee sometime! I'm actually from Crawford County. I come down that way for work sometimes in Corydon and also when I visit my family in Milltown.

I'm from Taylor Mill, KY. near Cincy. I'm not thru hiking but I've section the southern 1000 from Springer to Harpers Ferry in the last few years. If there's anything I can help with, let me know.

I lived 20 years + in Indianapolis. Moved in 2012 and then back for a month or two this year. Now live in Denver. However, I will be starting March 1st. Glad to see another "Hoosier" doing the trail.

No plans for another thru attempt but I am just excited to see hikers around me. I am in Jasper IN for the time being. Y'all ever find anything interesting to hike around here?

Check out the Adventure Hiking Trail in O'Bannon Woods State Park. It is between Corydon and Leavenworth off of highway 62. It isn't a very long hike (23 miles), but its a nice escape for the weekend. I wouldn't suggest going during the summer though (like I did last weekend), since the trail is not very well maintained and about 50% is overgrown. Also if you do plan on going, there are very few water sources, so most people leave themselves water jugs at the road crossings.

Connersville.
Hoping to rehike already hiked sections and fill in missed sections between Shenandoah National Park and Katahdin starting mid to late May. The exact date is beyond my control or I'd be heading out a little earlier.
