THis kinda looks like the MSR Whisperlight, but at 1/10th the cost. I've seen a review video, and it will do 2 cups of water in 5min 30sec. Considering this is only $20 is this a good buy? Has anyone else tried this stove?

That is only a simple remote-cannister stove. For UPRIGHT gas feed only. This is more stable for large pots than a cannister-mounted one, and allows use of a full windscreen if needed.

A whisperlite is a liquid fuel stove , two totally different things.

You can take it apart and remover the igniter and cut the weight by nearly an ounce. I really like mine.

I personally would keep the igniter. I like having a way to light it without needing a match or fire steel.

I saw this stove when Pharaoh did hi review of it on youtube. He gave away like 10 of them at one of his hikes

My only thought on the matter after playing with some of the Chinese stoves is not to depend on the Piezo igniter, as they are very inconsistent.
