Fungus on Fatwood

I was out camping a about 3 weeks ago, and collected some fat wood for later use. I put it in a zip lock bag, and left it in my car. I went out today and discovered there was moisture in the bag, and some kind of fungus had started growing on the Fat wood. Is this a problem, and should I get rid of it, or is the wood still OK to use?

Start a fire with it and consider it useful and consumed for the better. ;) Yes, it's still good to use.
