Anybody know where to find canister fuel (isobutane) in N. Adams/Williamston? I just called one hardware store near where I'll be staying and had to explain what I was talking about. No, they didn't have it.

Give this guy a call. He's local and shuttled us through that area. He can tell you where to find.

If you can't get one you can make a quicky alchy stove to get you to Bennington (or some tomws SoBo if you go that way.) I believe there is bus service also that can get you to a walmart, mall and shops in Lanesboro MA.

Try Natures Closet (outfitter) in Williamstown, MA Trail guide says they sell canister fuel.

I find the medium size isobutane (230-240g size) Primus canisters at Walmart. Not sure if you'll be close to one, but it's worth a shot if all else fails.

Since the are now an AT Community, I think you should email the Mayor of North Adams.

I am serious.

Edit: Scratch that. They are not there yet.

There is a Walmart on Route 8 at the south end of North Adams, heading towards Adams.
