Good morning fellow adventurers, today is Friday. The end of the week for many of you at work, my new blog post day (benonadventures.com) and a whole lot more. But most of all, it starts the weekend. Who's ready for the weekend? Do any of you have any big plans for this weekend? Let's get talking!!

Gonna escape the heat: drive up to the Smokies, dayhike to a waterfall, sit there and enjoy the coolness and the sound and spray of the water over the rocks. Then go back home to the heat and the work and the start of another week.

Small's Falls in Madrid off RT4. Maybe hike up to Piazza rock with my kids and listen to them whine about how hard it is.

Then go back home to the heat and the work and the start of another week. Sweet that's awesome! Here in NW Ohio it has rained so much, we've had like 4 dry days out of the past month and a half. So i've gotten some hiking in.

Heading up early tomorrow to do a out and back overnighter on a new-to-me section of the CT section of the AT before I start my new job which is going to severely cut down on my free time for hiking.

Staying home, more's the pity. My knee is still hurting from last week's fall.

Staying home, more's the pity. My knee is still hurting from last week's fall. Get well soon!! Take it easy on your knee and get back to the trail in a few weeks!!

Hiking the Bartram Trail this weekend. A very fun and scenic section. It is a nice, long (and fun!) 14 mile road walk. Do you feel my excitement? Can't believe I am driving 200 miles just to jog a 14 mile road walk!
