Hiked this section with a group this past weekend(7/31-8/2).
Camped at Choccolocco Shelter night 1 (cooler of trash at the shelter)
Trail Conditions:
-heavily overgrown in this section
-multiple blowdowns (moved well over 20 small trees that had fallen)
-multiple branches in trail (moved countless number from trail)
-there is select timbering in this area (heavy past
-near sweetwater lake area, the logging had felled 3-4 trees into the trail causing us to have to go
around or over.

Suprisingly no snakes were seen other than a Timber Rattler that had been ran over on FS532.
I'm thinking we all were making a lot of vibrations and noise (stomping through ,tossing off branches, limbs, and trees; causing them to retreat further into the bush.

Ticks were not terrible. I did catch 3-4 trying to crawl up my leg to find tick Nirvana.

Saw 2-3 turkeys and 4-5 wild hogs(on FS 500). The male hog came out from the bush into the road to size the threat of my truck up. As I got about 10yds from him moving @ 25mph, he decided he didn't want to tangle with a Nissan Frontier...
