Anyone here hike in Indiana? Thinking of overnight trips in Morgan Monroe state forest. And possibly through hiking the Knobstone. I'm new to backpacking and would love to have some companionship on long distance trails in Indiana.

Glad to hear you 've been bitten by the backpack bug! Hoosierland has some really nice trails, including the 40 mile Tecumseh Trail thru Morgan Monroe State Forest, which is a great for novices. You might consider joining with Central Indiana Wilderness Club. Big group with frequent activities, it even runs trips to the AT. -Ardency

Check out the Hoosier Hikers Council website also. They maintain most of the trails in southern Indiana.
