Use of a PLB in this instance seemed appropriate, I note there wasn't a flake of snow or 40* temperature that triggered it :D

Local paper said it was food poisoning
Food poisioning is pretty much a catch all diagnosis when there isnt another obvious explanation. Includes water borne bacteria and viruses, or even results of poor hygiene.
