Another wonderful trip to the canyon country in Utah
over Thanksgiving weekend. It was my fifth in a row.

If you have never been to canyon country, you are
missing something special. Stark, raw beauty. Arguably
the least explored place in the lower 48. As I
mentioned before, doing along trek through canyon
country is on my life
"TO DO " list.

They are 800x600. If you want a higher res pic, let me
know.

Well ...nothing that cool, but we did go up in the mountains outside of Laramie and get in some great snowshoeing.

My hubby and I did a 5 day kayak trip thru the okefenokee swamp. We didn't see one person from the time we left the dock until 3.5 miles to the take out. Absolutely beautiful. Lots of gators and 1000's of birds. I am in the process or put it into a journal on TJ. There are some photos posted as well. The journal is under Dragonfly my paddly psudeo name...

I backpacked for a week in Sangay Natl Park here in Ecuador and it was the most beautiful place IŽve ever seen. No other people besides the group I was with. 12-15,000 ft mountains and lakes everywhere, and no development in sight. IŽll post pics in a couple weeks when I return.

Wife and I did a 33-mile section hike from Standing Bear Farm to Hot Springs, NC over Thanksgiving. Even had turkey, dressing, gravy, and cranberries for Thanksgiving dinner at the new Roaring Fork Shelter.
