I put the Mountain Laurel Design Duomid with the solo bug shelter inside through its paces this weekend. It rained super hard for about an hour and tapered off and shelter never leaked. Bathtub floor in inner bug shelter worked great. Still had plenty of room for gear inside with me and easy to use while still in the bug shelter. I made coffee while inside the shelter the next morning with out having to get up.
Super easy to put up but not as adaptable as a simple tarp. That's the trade off for more storm protection.
