I have a Kelty Windfoil tent which I liked until one of the aluminum poles broke, I stopped at an outfitter who wanted to sell me a complete replacement pole set for it, too much money. Are minor breaks easily fixed or beyond most hikers?
Contact the folks at Tent Repair Services. These are the same people who made Moss Tents. I'm sure they can help.

Thanks but I am not looking to ship it for repair. I would think the pole with the break in it could be fixed with a sleeve to brace it.
You can get a sleeve but I would suggest that, if you can, you should replace the broken pole section.
I don't know what type of poles you have but most are easy enough to take apart.
Take a look here and see if you can find a match :

(they are easy to cut to size with a hacksaw and finish with a metal file)

Thanks Franco for the advice; I have it in the back of my cluttered car now, hoping to fix it in time.
