I'm going to be headed south from Front Royal. I don't want to do the 14 miles from 522 to gravel spring hut, and not 2 miles to tom Floyd shelter. It looks like I can take 522 make a right on 610, and at the very end looks like Compton gap tail is right there. Is it mark good plain sight? Was going to taxi from front royal or hopefully stay at Mike's Hostel?

my recollection is that the trail is literally the end of the road right next to mike's hostel.
hostel is only open in may and june i'm pretty sure.
