so i'm in florida on a family matter and i hit the local hardware store...not one of those giant chains...a real old timey hardware store full of crazy crap. and as i stand there waiting to check out i see this: its billed as a light for clipping on to your glasses, which i admit is the dorkiest thing in this world. but for $2.99 who can resist? and i discovered they latch on nicely to hat brims. check it out.
the brand is panther vision. i got it from a "do it best" type of hardware store

Hmmm. I found these lights on-line at http://hectorshardware.com/pavianclliwi.html, but the list price is $24.99, not $2.99! They are on "sale" for $17.99...what a deal.

Sure, johnny quest, if it's not too inconvenient let's see if they ship and what they'd charge. At $3 a piece I can see ordering a half-dozen for various uses.

reporting in on the clip lights. they dont have an online or phone order setup so i guess you have to be in the neighborhood of milton, florida if you want to take advantage of this deal. sorry.

I found these lights at Lowes when I went to get my Xmas tree. They only had a pack of two with accessories for $12.97. I'll keep looking to see if they have any more.
BTW yesterdays Sears add had a ball cap with 2 white and 2 red leds for $19.97.
I'll let you all know if I get my hands on the $3 ones.
