Trying some things out in the backyard, does that count? I just got a tent and sleeping bag. my old bag would not even fit in a backpack. I also plan to get a stove this weekend and then I should be good for a short practice trip.

Not a big adventure, but heading up on Sunday to hike the latest relocation of the Northville-Placid Trail (http://leaderherald.com/page/content.detail/id/589922/Ready-for--Hikers.html?nav=5011).

No big adventure, that was last week. Off to explore some local trails. Maybe some leaves will be turning color??

Well, maybe I mislabeled that last photo, might have been from near Goose Eye summit.

My knees are just starting to stop hurting from the pounding they took in the Mahoosucs and the short prezies traverse I took with Rafe last week. I think I'll just walk down the street and get the local paper for now.

Stayed at Len Foote Inn with the kids. Now in the hammock in the Springer shelter area. Wet and a bit nasty out here...but happy to be here. Looking forward to dinner. Was going to Stover Creek but changed my mind...

Probably do the same: at the US Nat'l Whitewater Ctr and if the rain keeps falling I may boondoggle on Monday and do Wilson Creek:)

Sea kayaking. I've been meaning to learn more white water. I have a friend who was a white water guide, and he's been getting me into more serious tide races. I did some reversing falls and other tide races and only flipped twice (must not be trying hard enough?)
