Sauerkraut Find

While in Sam's Club, my wife spotted single serving packages of sauerkraut at the snack bar to put on your hot dogs. She brought one home for me and I checked online, and Amazon has them (http://www.amazon.com/Sauerkraut-Single--Pack-of-18/dp/B004ANRFK6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1443353358&sr=8-1&keywords=frank%27s+kraut). Less than two ounces and very little juice (it's for topping hot dogs after all), it tastes pretty good.

This would make a good addition to ramen or summer sausage in a tortilla.

Interesting find. What about dehydrating it. Should do very well and retain its flavor. Definitely like the idea of summer sausage in the tortilla. You could also put some in a pot with some dehydrated ground pork and a bit of seasoning.

What was the brand? Can a get a packet that comes with a bratwurst and some decent mustard too? It is Oktoberfest after all.

The brand is Franks (see the Amazon link, that's the exact item). I do dehydrate kraut to add to my meals, but these are just so convenient for shorter hikes.
