Halloween Section Hike (GA)

Hello folks,

I'm planning to take advantage of a few days off from school, and re-hike the Approach Trail to Neels Gap portion (which I ran through during my hike this year due to weather).

For the locals - What's the weather like at this time of the year? Is there a reasonable amount of traffic on the nearby roads to hitch a ride from Mountaing Xings back to Amicalola Falls on a Sunday? Any other special considerations?

The weather will average highs of low 60s and lows of low 40s. But those are averages. Freezes are very possible. It is hunting season so wear some blaze orange.

Plenty of traffic. Leaf season.

Hiked Unicoi to Amamicola Falls 9/25 - 9/29, water was scarce between Neal's Gap and Unicoi.
