So today someone didn't believe that my trail name is based on Robert Frost. They thought it was a snowman reference, inspired no doubt by my bulging abdomen. So here in the humor forum are two attempts to justify my trail name (read them with the meter and rhyming pattern of O TANNENBAUM):

Oh Warren Doyle, Oh Warren Doyle,
Why do you make me sweat and toil?
I want rest a bit this Yule,
But you keep me on a sched-u-ule.
Those ta-ble scraps, they taste like heck.
Why must I ford the Kennebec?
To your Circle, I can't be late,
So I must sneak un-der the gate
Oh, Warren Doyle, Oh Warren Doyle,
Why do you make me sweat and toil?

Oh Jack Tarlin, Oh Jack Tarlin,
Why can't you post with a smile and grin?
There's hidden angst there prob-a-bly
We see it in your hyper-bo-lee
You like your friends to be with you,
But they cannot dis-agree with you.
Though to your friends, you're nice and loyal,
You're always mean to Warren Doyle
Oh Jack Tarlin, Oh Jack Tarlin,
Why can't you post with a smile and grin?

Oh A T Troll, oh A T Troll,
What is your white blaze dot net goal?
oops, better not pick on the boss.... Hmm, now what rhymes with L. Wolf?

And to show it is all in good fun:

Oh Fa-ros-tee, Oh Fa-ros-tee
You know you can't write poetry.
Your mind and brain you've surely lost,
If you think you're Robert Frost.
They named you afff-ter him for fun,
But the sem-blaaance is slim to none,
Your prose is dull and tedius,
Your rhymes are often hideous
Oh Fa-ros-tee, Oh Fa-ros-tee
You know you can't write poetry.

That was inspiring Frosty. Here is my meager contribution. I have no doubt that Bob will be glad that I wrote this before someone else did ;-).

Oh Sir Weary, Oh Sir Weary,
Why’s it always ‘bout the em- AYE- el- tee?
You hiked the trail, but missed a part
Could be worse, you’re not Old Fhart.
At least you had your alder staff,
Keep repeating that, and make us laugh.
Oh Sir Weary, Oh Sir Weary,
Why’s it always ‘bout the em- AYE- el- tee?

Baja is cool,
Dots is too!
Ain't it a shame,
The Old Mill is lame.
Lone Wolf has clout,
There is NO doubt!

:jump Wonderful, I will sing the Doyle version. Loved Rick's contribution. Don't forget "The Blessed Virgin of The Trail" in future Christmas songs. Go Blister.
