great news, but what was the point of posting it multiple times in threads that are about other things, including one that was dormant for 2 years about an entirely different hiker who was missing in ME? yeesh, excited or something?

The body of hiker Clairemarie Cocuzzo, missing since earlier this week, has been found in the Gale River. Preliminary reports are that she drowned while fording the swollen river. http://www.telegram.com/article/20151016/NEWS/151019306

To hell with the bears, the A.T. itself is killing everyone. Two in the same week. Well, as bad as that is, maybe it'll keep some of the Walk in the Woods movie fans from showing up.

Sure sorry to hear that. Makes me think of all the river and stream crossings I've done that have been a little sketchy.

It does not take much rain to make the stream/river crossings (in Maine & NH) extremely dangerous and that was some nasty weather we had... My condolences to her family and friends.
