I am looking for one of those tent you can simply throw into the air, it uncoils itself and falls to the ground ready to occupy. The purpose is car camping and camping in backyards and the like which my group does often. My current car camping tent is a simple dome and it does work well but showing it's age, so it's time to start looking for one that fits it's purpose.
The reviews I have seen for many have questionable water proofing however, and some have the proverbial bucket of water hanging over the door so when you use it it dumps on you.
Anyone can suggest a good popup tent (2 person tent seems about right), the goal is obviously simple setup, expecially in the dark. Also any idea of the foldup, the reviews seem to reflect good lock getting it back into the bag, but yes with a little practice and learning one can get it folded up fairly quickly.
