Our next visit on our tour of northwest PA was to this beautiful state park, famous for its old growth forest with trees over 180 feet tall. These forests are impressive and have some of the tallest trees in the eastern US. Cook Forest is regarded as one of the finest state parks in the country, has 30 miles of trails, and is well worth a visit. The towering white pine and hemlock were beautiful as the beech trees were yellow and orange.
