The weather out here at the moment ..."ain't fit for man nor beast" (as WC Fields used to say)

Took the attached picture this morning at around 7 AM. Notice that there is a minus sign to the left of the 17.5 ...oh yeah, and this was without the windchill factor.

Hiking should not be the problem in that weather. Problem surfaces only when you stop hiking.:D

Would normally agree but the 40 - 50 mph wind gusts make it a tad rough to stay on the trail.

That temperature would bring this area to a complete standstill... me included.

Well ...ain't exactly any new land speed records being set out here either, even though we are somewhat used to this type of weather.

But, hey... the forecast looks sunny and has a thumbs-up, don't it?!!!

Just gotta get rid of that frowny face next to the indoor humidity! Heck, the outdoor humidity is better than the indoor.

Yeah ...it's really looking up (all things being relative). They're calling for 20 degree temps by Saturday - woohoo

Humidity is a double edged sword. The lack of it is what makes the cold (and warm) temps out here bareable. Having lived back east I can't even imagine what -17 would feel like in 50% or higher humidity.
