On my JMT thru hike another hiker was trying to shed weight by getting rid of extra food. I gladly ate a few extra meals as I tried going stove less....big mistake...he made me the best trail meal ever! Not sure exactly but think it had

Idahoan potatoes
Instant stuffing
Chic pouch
Cran raisins

This was the best trail meal I've ever had..just curious if any others have any preference on this concoction?

That's a pretty rockin' backcountry Thanksgiving. You can also buy those packs of instant gravy to pour all over the stuffing and potatoes. I did this once with some biscuits that I packed out. Best (backcountry) breakfast I had on my thru-hike.

I've cooked one of these over a fire before...I want to say they are 2 or 3 pounds. Will feed 2 people and one dog.
