Marmot Precip - Old vs Current

STP has the prior version of the Precip on sale for $60, It's 15k/12k. The newer version is 10k/17k. Mainly going to be using it for 4-5 day section hikes. I get hot easy and was wondering which would be the better bet? Is there a big difference between these numbers for waterproof/breathability?

I have two prior models. I won't use them except for drizzle/light rain duty and definitely won't take them on BP trips as they aren't WP enough in heavier downpours. Also, the inside liner seams are beginning to fail on mine but, in all fairness, they are 3-4 years old with a fair amount of use.
