Bug Netting as Gear Storage

Ive been using a Warbonnet Blackbird for the past couple of years. I think its a great piece of gear however I am interested in trying out a net-less hammock for more flexibility and weight savings but would want to purchase a net for the buggy season.

Im curious if I could use the netting as a place to store gear? For example after climbing into the hammock could I throw gear under the hammock, essentially using the netting as a gear loft?

I guess it depends on the strength/weight of the netting. My tulle net won't take much load without ripping.

I would probably get the warbonnet netting with the traveler hammock.

Or something from Dutch or dream hammock
