Adventurers! I hope all of you had an awesome Christmas! So I was wondering, what gear did you get for Christmas? Let's talk about it!
I got:
-Granite Gear Crown VC 60
-SMD Deschutes Plus
-Therm a rest All Season
-Enlightened Equipment 0 degree down quilt that'll be coming in a few weeks

These were the main pieces of gear I got, so what did you get for Christmas this year? What did Santa bring you?

I got a Fitbit Charge HR. Since among its other functions it constantly records one's heartbeat, I can quickly check to see if I'm still alive.

My wife and I splurged this year and finally got ourselves a pair of good road bikes for xmas (Scott Solaces) at a fantastic price (great bike deals in winter!). We like our variety in outdoor activities. Good for cross training as well. Plus we have every piece of hiking/backpacking gear anyone could want. We're total gear ho's.

A drum key and 3 pair of cotton sox.
Wife knows I don't need any hiking gear.
I have more than I can carry at one time already.
I got a Fitbit Charge HR. Since among its other functions it constantly records one's heartbeat, I can quickly check to see if I'm still alive.
I got this as well but a few weeks ago. Pretty cool device. I've learned that my sleep quality is horrendous. Obviously this isn't a watch for thru hiking given how often it requires recharging. It tracks mileage accurately if you calibrate it.
A Deschutes tarp and possum down socks were both in my stocking.

Money, money, and mo money. I as well will hit the Rei garage sale and amazon. If I don't spend the money on what I need it will probably turn to dust and disappear.

The Zpacks stuff was ordered back in October and arrived on Dec. 23rd, so I count them as Xmas gifts!

No one dares buy me gear because I am so particular, so I got a game...Backcountry: The Game of Wilderness Survival - Appalachian Trail Edition. Haven't played yet, but read over the instructions and it actually looks like it might be fun...especially with an adult beverage or two :D

A friend bought me a compass that was just a bit heavier than the perfectly good one that I have, and a copy of the 2015 AWOL Guide. It was a nice thought, but neither are coming on the trail with me. She should have saved her money and just bought me one of those adult beverages or six.
bought myself a down hoodie
