My GF is looking for a wide pad, preferably 25" or so. Any suggestions?

How tall is she? What R-value do you need? Is she a cold sleeper? Does she want a rectangular pad or is mummy okay? Inflatable or foam? Finally, how much do you care about weight? Are you looking for something very light, or is a little heavier okay?

Usually pads 25" in width come with the extra length of 77" also. This is okay if you're really tall but this typically isn't the case.

This pad from REI might work for your GF : www.rei.com/product/857477/rei-airrail-15-self-inflating-sleeping-pad (http://www.rei.com/product/857477/rei-airrail-15-self-inflating-sleeping-pad)

There's also the thermarest large torso air pad, that's short and wide, if you don't want a lot of extra length and weight.

Xtherm large. Best nights sleep ever. High R value that your GF will appreciate.

I've got a NeoAir Trekker Torso length that is 25" wide and 48" long that does well (the way it is designed it acts more like it is 22" wide...the sides crumple some as you get near the edge.

I also have a S2S Comfort Light that is 21.5" wide and I am finding it very comfortable. The mid-level has more spots which helps it cushion your body well.

If I have to choose between the 2 I lean towards the S2S. More comfortable and almost the same weight/size.

NeoAir All Season Large. It takes up a ridiculous amount of room on the tent floor when inflated, but it's so much more comfortable than my Zlite or old Prolite and doesn't take up too much space in the pack and I can use it year round.

I saw tons of these at the garage sale, all with "won't hold air". Read the same thing online. Wonder if they corrected what appears to be a problem in production?
