We hiked the north loop of the Pinchot Trail as it meandered through mountain laurel, across streams, and through meadows of blueberry and ferns. White birch trees illuminated the stark forests. We enjoyed the hemlock forests along Painter Creek with several campsites. Spruce trees adorned the trail. A good hike.

Ehow do you like the north look versus the south loop?

I think the south loop is more diverse and has better campsites. The south loop has a variety of forest types and vegetation, with pine, hemlock, spruce, rhododendron tunnels, Mtn Laurel, and meadows; Choke Creek Falls is a short walk from the south loop. However, I think the north loop is worth doing.
