If you completed your thru or section-hike of the entire A.T. this year and haven't yet sent in your 2,000-miler application to ATC, please download the form at www.appalachiantrail.org/ATcompletion (http://www.appalachiantrail.org/ATcompletion) and send it in as soon as possible.
If you get it in right away, we should still be able to get you in the listing in the spring issue of A.T. Journeys. The application form lists December 31 as a deadline, and the current (winter) issue of the magazine (hasn't reached all mailboxes yet) extends the deadline to Jan. 22, but we can stretch it a few days beyond that.
Within 12 weeks, we'll send you a 2,000-miler certificate, patch, and rocker.
Even if you don't care about the recognition, it's very helpful to us for statistical purposes to understand trail usage and trends.
Congratulations to all who finished as well as all who undertook the journey, however many miles you hiked!
