Hey y'all! Check out these three articles and the blogsite as you plan your thru-hike. I completed a flip-flop thru-hike on Dec 7, 2015 and am working in the GA section of trail as a ridgerunner for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. Hope to meet a lot of you out there this year!

The benefits for YOU of flip-flopping your A.T. thru-hike (http://appalachiantrailclarity.com/2016/02/17/why-a-flip-flop-is-more-comfortable/)

Cool places to not miss in the southern half of the A.T. - Best vistas, hostels, and most importantly? Where's the good beer!? (http://appalachiantrailclarity.com/2016/02/04/cool-places-to-stumble-across-on-the-a-t/)

Cool places to not miss in the northern half of the A.T. - Views, places, and good beer. (http://appalachiantrailclarity.com/2016/02/07/cool-places-to-see-on-the-northern-a-t/)

Cheers!

Twistwrist, thanks for posting. I'm making note of some of your "cool places" that I would definitely like to hit. I'll be starting my flip flop from HF April 17th. Good article on the flip flop benefits as well! Thanks again

Nice! So glad you're enjoying them! Writing is post-thru-hike therapy for me. :)

TW, what was the date of your stay at RPH shelter? Wondering if that hiker feed you mention was the annual work party, in mid-July.

Any chance you could PM me a bigger version of that photo? Lou and I were both there. I think LIHikers maybe also.
