Planning on taking off NOBO solo in around mid April, exact day not decided yet.
Wanted to see who all is planning on taking off in April, maybe get to know some folks ahead of time and pick a date that one of ya'll plan on starting at.
Not necessarily looking for partner just some people to possibly meet up with Day 1 and take it from there and/or to look for on the trail.

I am starting at Springer on April 5th!
I had to get off the trail to fix a hip issue. Looks like I will try and get back to dicks Creek gap around April 23.
I'm also going to be leaving Springer April 12th! I'm staying at the Hiker Hostel the evening of April 11th. Maybe I'll see you out there!

Well was going to be the 8th for me but my driver canceled..
Changed plans to start on the 18th, little be more gear to get but just about ready to roll. Getting anxious!

I went ahead and did the thru hiker special with the Hiker hostel to save the trouble of figuring travel from airport. Ideally wanted to start the day I flew in but this allows me to take a later flight and take my time and also meet some people who are starting the same day and get some last minute pointers before heading out the following am.
I'm leaving the 24th as well. Are you staying anywhere the night before? I'm flying in to Atlanta the 23rd. I'm a new section hiker.

I'm planning on being dropped off at the visitors center after driving up from Tally. Not sure if I want to pay for a night at the Hike Inn which the driver wants to do. I will hike up to springer and camp up there somewhere, so I can get right onto the AT on the 24th.
For your situation, I would recommend taking a train up to Gainesville, then find a shuttle to either a hostel or Amicalola.

I'm getting back on the Trail in a few days after an early injury (fingers crossed only major one), so I'll be near the beginning in April.
