Are there any good protein powders that mix w/ water that work good on the trail?

I made my own, because I was bored one day. Bob's Red Mill Whey Protien, Nido milk powder, cocoa powder and confectioners sugar. Took half an hour to mix and portion into baggies. It was about half the cost of this well reviewed brand. (http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrition-Standard-Double-Chocolate/dp/B000QSNYGI/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1457104442&sr=8-3&keywords=protein+powder)

Only then did I do the math and learn that the store bought stuff was slightly more cost effective. Oh well. Pretty much any brand you choose will be far more nutritious than convenience store pastries.

Bob's Red Mill makes excellent whey powder in relatively small packages. Dissolves very well.

Work good on trail.....like not having a rotten smelling residue? Decaying protein residue stinks. Plan on washing mix container with soap regularly. Far easier to just eat jerky and other high protein sources.
