So I got my coupon to rei and had a small dividend. I needed a new pad for when I sleep on the ground and decided to go all out.
I got a thermarest neoair xtherm max pad, size regular.
First and foremost, this thing is sweet.
It isn't loud and crinkly like others have said. I think they changed the material from the older ones. Also, the bottom fabric is a heavier, more durable nylon than on the x-lite.
Mine weighs 16.8oz on my kitchen scale.
I slept on it in my garage with a cheap synthetic 10* sleeping bag. Not gonna lie, having that high r-value kept me nice and warm.
This will be my go-to pad for all year camping. I hate being cold and I think this fits the bill.
Also, it's super comfy.
Anyone else have an xtherm they use year round?
