Does anyone know if Sunken Mine Road in Cold Springs, NY is drivable now?

Google maps seems to show it closed from December through April, but with no snow now, could it be open already?

Best bet would probably be to call the Cold Springs Police dpt or Public Works to see if they know. Snow loads are just one factor, its mud season now and the road surface may be too fragile for heavy traffic at the moment.

Thanks, that's what I will do tomorrow. Funny since on the Google street view, the road almost looks as though it is paved. LOL

Sunken Mine Road belongs to Fahnestock Park. The park office (845) 225-7207 would be able to tell you whether it's open. (If memory serves, they'll let you drive on it as long as it's clear of snow, but they don't bother to plow it, hence the posted winter closure.)
