I'd liketo hike the Ga. section of the AT, beginning with the '06 class of aspiring thruhikers, and have made tentative plans, but that's about it.

I promise to go lighter, if possible.:D

LW,

"I plan to go to Dot's more"

You'd have to go twice a day!

I heard they had the "Lone Wolf Burger" on the menu.<!-- / message -->

We (BadAss Turtle and I) will hike a 4 - 5 day stretch either north or south of Damascus and be at Trail Days in May.

We will also hike from Gorham to Monson in July.

Aside from that we'll jus take it as it comes.

1. To be a leaner (but not meaner) hiker.
2. To do upper-body work so the pack won't feel so heavy.
3. To hike the NY section of the AT with my kids this spring and fall.
4. To become a certified wall climbing instructory for Girl Scouts (#1 needs to happen first!).
5. To hike instead of cleaning!

I'm a few days late jumping into this thread, but I plan to thru hike out West (PCT). I'm working on my photography skills, and I hope to take many well composed pictures on this adventure.

Sam's Gap to Erwin, TN (2/10/06)

Erwin to Damascus, VA (3/6/06), in which I complete 1st 100+ mile trip, 1st re-supply (at Kincora), finish NC & TN-(450+ miles completed), & arrive at the best AT trail town-(from what I hear)!

Hopefully a fall trip (dependant upon how things settle w/ the arrival of my 1st child, Natalie Maria--adoption from Guatemala, May/06,,,, YAY:D).

Going to Trail Days in Damascus for the 1st time, on my birthday, May 19th, unless I'm in Guatemala!!!,,,,, hmmmm, are there trails in Guatemala? :-?

that's all I can think of right now.

Finish the section of the AT between Maupin Field Shelter (by the Blue Ridge Parkway) and McCormick Gap, SNP to complete the trail between Tye River and Front Royal.

Possibly go north toward Harper's Ferry.

Do a multi day wilderness hike in West Virginia - covering Otter Creek, Blackwater Falls SP, Dolly Sods regions

See if there are any day rambles in Austria :)
