Looking for broken, single, or pieces of Leki Corklite poles. Two sections of mine have corroded badly and would rather just replace the pieces rather than the entire poles. Leki CS said to clean with a bore brush and gun oil but it is not stopping the corrosion.

My Leki poles are badly corroded also. I have not contacted Leki as yet. Did they volunteer to replace your poles are just provide repair tips?

They said it was normal for the poles to corrode over time. No offer of any warranty/replacement parts. I can't argue it either as I am 100% at fault for this one, as I stored them wet.

Thanks. I did the same thing. I have not been worried about the integrity of the poles yet. I have been hiking PA so they have been getting a good workout.

We have a single Leki "Makalu Ultralite" pole that we could part with. It has the cork handles and looks just like the Corklite--I think maybe they renamed it. PM me if you're interested.

I hear there's a cork shortage, and that wine may have to be plastic corked...gotta assume that bultin boards, trekking poles and other cork items may be affected as well.

This is but one article, apparently there is speculation as to wether this is just a rumor or if an actual shortage exists. You decide.
