With the Mt. Rogers map arriving today I'm planning for my loop hike to Trail Days. The rough plan is to walk into town on AT/Creeper Trail, and walk back out on Iron Mountain Trail to see some new trail and mostly avoid leaving town with the bubble. So with walking at my pace and the weekend at TD probably 7-8 days total. The snag I'm hitting right now is parking for that span of time. Fox Creek is the most ideal parking for what I want to do but I gather my car is very likely to be vandalized or stolen by the time I get back. Parking at the Grayson backpacker's lot apparently has a three night limit so that's out too. Any suggestions? Parking is my highest priority right now but I'm all ears for campsite or connecting trail suggestions too, I see from the map there are many more ways than one to do this.
